About us
Who runs this ranking
Copper is an independent editorial desk based in New Zealand. Four writers and one editor cover the offshore casino market for Kiwi players, and nobody outside that group decides where a brand lands in the table. Barnaby Whangaroa carries editorial responsibility for everything published here, from the scoring sheet to the wording of a single specification row.
How a brand gets scored
Every casino in our table is opened as an ordinary account, funded in New Zealand dollars, played on both a phone and a desktop browser, then cashed out. Seven weighted checks decide the score: licence and dispute route, acceptance of New Zealand players, NZD payment coverage, measured withdrawal turnaround, mobile behaviour, game catalogue depth and the honesty of the bonus terms. Published return-to-player figures are recorded as the operator states them, never estimated by us.
When the table changes
Offers move faster than most guides admit. We re-verify bonus amounts, wagering multipliers and cashier windows on a rolling schedule, and a brand that quietly worsens its terms drops without ceremony. If an operator stops paying, stops answering support tickets or loses its licence, it comes off the page entirely rather than being marked with a footnote.
How we are funded
Some links on this site earn a commission when a reader opens an account. That commission never buys a position, a score or a kinder sentence, and the brands are not told their placement in advance. We do not run sponsored reviews and we do not accept payment to remove criticism.
